We have a beautiful Leghorn cockerel that is looking for a new home.

The reason for this is that we have a ratio of too many cockerels to hens.

Anyone interested?

I'm begining to think that we might eat Alphonso - he's so rough with the rest of the flock. This makes me angry enough to kill him if I could only catch him...

That is what will happen to any dear little cockerels we get as I would love to have a decent sized chicken to roast. Can only get tiny little things here, good job we are no longer a family of five but I would still like roast chicken to last for more than a couple of meals and one chicken sandwich.

Morning Folks.

My friend whom lives near Bideford wishes to pass on her rather gorgeous White Sussex cockerel (over a year old), free to a good home.

If anyone is interested then please drop her, Ann, an email to;

Sorry, not for me, he sounds lovely, but we're already battling with the issue of 2 cockerels.

Well there previous cockerel, Colin, did get his neck rung for being far too aggressive. He attacked my friend several times and drew blood. He 'passed away' a couple of days before I got down there for a visit. Shame really as  would have 'potted' him ok

Sad I know but he was a dangerous animal.

Wouldn't let my friend go anywhere near the chickens or the coops to collect eggs.

On one occasion he flew at her, tore the feed bowl out of her hands and destroyed that.

On another he scratched her so badly they thought a hospital trip  might be in order.

Nobody was interested in taking the cockerel.

AH! Hang on a minute what_the_heck

Did you mean wasted as in didn't use him as food or wasted as in Dirty Harry style doh
