Glad you like him: he loves to eat anything at the mo!  plastic things in particular!

Also got a good mouthful of horse poo on the walk!

He is very bright; think I will take him to obedience classes!

Bruno needs a class too. We have bought a very good book that we are using but a class would help. I will ask our vet about one

He does look full of mischief doesn't he?

Our dog is always interested with new hens, but they do tend to stand up for themsleves when she's sniffing around them, however (I think I've said this before) when we had a hen hatch 2 chicks a few years ago, which was a total shock to us as we never knew she was on a nest anywhere, Jessie caught both chicks and 'played' with them. Oh dear.

Same with dogs and cats I guess, it is the little thing fluttering about that attracts them. Last year Ellie pecked one of my cats hard when she tried to get a chick and Humbug left them alone. I tend to keep the little under cover though as I have Buzzards that fly over constantly.

took him over to the chickens today on a lead and told him no!  He was sooo good and did as he was told; not sure I would leave him alone with them though!

I took Bruno out to,the chickens and ducks on his lead and he was just watching them, special Bob, a limping one eyed Drake marched over and pecked him! Poor Bruno now knows he is at the bottom of the ladder!

Boxers are the same but he is learning well. I make him sit before each meal. The next challenge is 'come'

He seems to have already been taught to lie down before a meal.  He has really begun to grasp sit, (although he sometimes lies) stay and NO!  He has begun to grasp heel! and come!

He is very bright but  so full of energy that we havent managed to wear him out yet despite 2 x 1hr walks every day!!

Bruno is a bundle of energy too and runs madly round the house a couple of times a day. He needs someone with him all the time or failing that he goes in the puppy cage. We try not to use the cage other than at night but sometimes we have to. He is a lot of work but is here to stay!
