I've read somewhere about dipping her bum in cool water...lowers her temperature which is supposed to take her off broodiness.surprised

phew!  much cooler now!  thanks for the links; my two are ok now; the red one seems to think she has an imaginary brood and crouches down to protect them if approached; but she's been doing that for weeks; the blck one is back to normal.

The crouching is a submission to your approach she's so bird brained she thinks you want to mate with her . Pheasant hens are the same .

blinking blackie is broody again; persistently so this time....will try to make a brrody box next week; if not it is the pot for her... bad enough she isnt laying, but now she is putting the others off!!
