We've always had Assam tea, as we like a good strong tea with plenty of flavour. However, since having all my various health issues, I've been drinking caffeine-free tea and coffee for the past couple of months. Initially, I thought they were both pretty tasteless at best, and disgusting at worst. Now, however, after trying a few different ones, I've found Clipper Organic Decaffeinated Tea with skimmed milk is quite palatable, although nowhere near as strong or flavoursome as Assam.
Have you tried redbush (or rooibos)? I don't like decaf tea (tried pg tips and waitrose and neither had much flavour) but redbush is naturally caffeine free and tastes quite good.

I have, Mike – didn't really like it much. Having said that, this was a few years ago and my tastes have now changed, so I might give it another go. Thanks for reminding me, I'd forgotten all about Redbush/Rooibos.
