I have just discovered that on my new laptop, in iGoogle, there is an option to speak your search term rather than typing it. I am having such fun with it as it doesn't always understand what I say.

Partially Aly, I sound like a teenage boy at present. Sometimes it disappears altogether then comes back as a squeak. I have some Covonia medication now recommended by a Pharmacist so am hopeful that it works. Trouble is, my ears are gummed up now so have difficulty hearing, that should be fun at the doc's on Monday!

My Smart has now gone to it's new owner. Sad to see it go but it had to be!

Provided moral support for hubby who has been battling car troubles for the last two days. He got the car working but it still needs to go to the garage to see if there is any wax in the lines from the diesel. Our translator had to go back home by bus and we had to cancel an interview and a visit to a friend.

So sorry you had to cancel the interview Joanna. I know they are important.
Have a drink to drown your sorrows Aly. I know you loved your wee car.
Take care and not use your voice too much Toni.
Had a nice day today, made the soup, sorted out work in the garden, chopped wood for kindling, had a couple of nice walks in the sunshine and had two lots of visitors both of which brought me a card and a gift. People are just too kind.
Tomorrow a young man from the village is coming to dog proof my garden once and for all. I shall feel confident to let them out while I am pottering then.

Had a very well planned day, went wrong from the first moment.
Didn't achieve most of the things I was supposed to achieve but I did replace the batteries in the alarm clock, replace the batteries in the CO2 detector, have sufficient patience to hang on and wait for the operator to answer my call to the AA, persuade the garage that I could bring my car in for its MOT later rather than earlier, got three loads of washing done whilst waiting for the AA man to arrive and start the car, got car started and managed to get to the garage without it stalling, despite the best efforts of a pheasant, was able to persuade Sir to willingly take Mother to her hospital appointment ( slightly, er, optimistic estimation of the time it would take and the ease of parking) and was home in time for grocery delivery.
It could have been worse….

We took some stuff to the dump, and one more stuff to the charity shop. Then I did a load of laundry, and tidied out the pantry cupboard. I think it was all things I'd rather do than scrub the bathroom tiles :)

I haven't achieved much, but I am off to P's house soon. He has had a rotten cold, so I have avoided him for a few days. But he is cooking tonight, and I said I would get there early.
