Hmm, tidying AND donating.

2011 isn't so far away, and I need to take advantage of the last minute tax credits donations can bring.

I can do a lot of good in 2 days...runaway

well thats that over for another year , the annual relative fest is done and over and apart from the kids trying  to slaughter one another it went fairly well...MIL enjoyed herself  , OH is all benevolent  and i intend to play on that and do nothing today!!!...

Only trouble was BIL as usual , he was having a go at my daughter for going to university next year , said it was disgusting when she had a small child . But shes far less shrinking violet than i am so maybe studying politics isnt a bad idea for her. He got a long lecture on benefit reform , that left him totally baffled . Then we all had to go outside to inspect his new Mobility minibus , i did slip a little and pointed out that now he had a minibus license there would be no shortage of jobs for him .  Im so glad the council moved him away and rented him a nice big 5 bedroomed newbuild to fit all his kids in ...

Thats my bitter and twisted patch over for this year ...lol

ha yes, storage boxes, all well and good in principle¦but then you have to find somewhere to store them..sorry, this seems a bit irrelevant when I read it now, but it relates to a previous page - too much wine again..

wave Wow, I was out yesterday and saw real people!!!!!!

I was at a lunch party with lots of friends,  It was lovely, good food/wine  and great company.  The only problem was that the hosts live up a hill at the end of a steep windy track and since the frost has come out of the ground part of it has turned to mud and is totally impassable in an ordinary car.  So we left the car at the bottom of the hill and took a shortcut up a steep hill, over a fence  monster  and through a mudbath and on up to the welcoming lights of the house.  It was hilarious going up, but it was getting dark on the way down and the folks I was with this time had never visited the house before and had walked up the long way.  I think they thought I was leading them into the woods!!!! Still it was all worth it.  big_laugh

Tonight I have been invited over to the big house for dinner and I will stay and see the New Year in with them.    There should be about twenty people there.  I go most years and  and it is usually a very pleasant evening.  There is a party in our village hall, but it is a bit too crowded for me, so I give it a miss.

Danuta, I am so pleased that you've been able to socialise again, enjoy your dinner and Hogmanay celebrations.  I hope everyone has a Happy New Year lets raise a glass champagne to our continuing friendship here and to new friends who may join us later.

OH and I will be joining friends for dinner and wine, keep you fingers crossed that I don't wobble on my way home.

I'll try that again!

wave  Hope you have a lovely evening Toni.  big_hug   No wobbling now.  I will only have to wobble up and over my wee hill to get home - no distance to stagger at all.  big_laugh

Now, I don't want to hear that you staggered too far.  Your evening sounds very jolly, will there be dancing too?

I'll try that again!

Made me laugh out loud!  Thanks for that.

I don't know quite what to expect at our gathering, no idea if there will be others there or if it is a sit down meal or a buffet.  One thing I am certain of ~ John has an extensive wine collection...

I'll try that again!
