Shelley, you have my sympathy and a hug and I hope the acupuncture works well for you. It was the one thing that eased my pains when I was allowed to have the last course.
Shame about the market, but you are, I'm sure, well aware of French bureaucracy and as others have said, it will allow you time to make more stocks which should equal more income.
Stay smiley!

Oh, FFS Shelley, after all the hard work and stress – this latest bureaucratic bungling is so maddening.
Nothing you can do, I guess, apart from looking on the bright side of the situation. Well done.
Sorry if i missed an earlier post but (slightly off topic) what is the root cause of your pain?
I have fibromyalgia; probably due to a dose of slapped cheek/ toxoplasmosis around 4 years ago. The pain is blockable most days but if I have a flare of pain anywhere then I get grumpy as I cannot block the rest of the pain; so I hurt. For ages I thought I was just getting old (I also get very stiff too) but then 2 years ago I had a really bad flare up and couldnt hold a pen or even think and it forced doctors to see I had something; it took until this feb to get a diagnosis. My pain is generally worse in winter.
However I wont stop and try to keep going even on ta bad day; I find doing something helps me ignore the pain; so teaching and cooking remain on the cards for as long as is possible.
Last time I had acupuncture it worked for me too TA; It is a shame it is not completely reimbursed even here!

Acupuncture is brilliant, worked for me too, way too costly for regular use, but it sorted out a very long standing neck pain, worth every penny to get rid of that.
BS- my previous 'softee leather topped' insoles were bright pink.
My current NOT soft- and after a day on my feet I can REALLY feel they are not soft- are purple. But not the lovely deep blue purple that the softee leather purple was…they sent the hard ones and some foam with them, so they clearly realised they had done the wrong topping. You try getting heavy duty insoles, foam insoles AND your feet into your shoes at one and the same time.
Seeing my Podiatrist tomorrow, questions will be asked.
GRRRRRR! I'm holding out for another pair of proper softeeeeeeeeeeee leather topped insoles, this time really SOFT.
p.s. The hard insoles make the sqelchy, farty sound when I walk even in socks on a coolish day. v. embarrassing. So my achievement for today was managing to make very little noise as I walked around Waddesdon all day Room Stewarding- visitors do not want to hear squelchy, farty sounds coming from the direction of the room steward….

today:
36 homity pasties (plus cooked the pre-frozen Cornish pasties x 15)
24 Eccles cakes
toffee pecan cake (which cuts into 25 pieces – gorgeous)
2 large (pizza-size) Bakewell tarts with home-made raspberry jam – each cut into 12 pieces
Slab of Rocky road – 30 small-ish pieces
Courgette cake (thrown in the bin – it was not nice – won't be making that again!)
Kind neighbours arrived with:
peanut butter and chocolate flapjacks
banana muffins, iced with chocolate
rich chocolate cake
30 choc-chip cookies
individual iced carrot cakes
large tin of home-made shortbread biscuits
. . . and I have been promised a whole lot more to arrive at The Town Hall tomorrow morning (where my stall can be found!)
One of the supported charities is the Wiltshire Air Ambulance – I think this has motivated some people.
Will report back after the event !

My aim for today is to relax and try to do as little as possible but there are always a lot of odd jobs around the house which need doing.
I've been really busy all week helping to organise a conference which took place on thursday and friday. All day wednesday and most of thursday morning were spent sorting out things like name badges, and putting together the various bits of paper for the welcome pack. Once the conference started (at least, after the mad rush of giving out the welcome packs and badges), I could mainly sit back, drink tea and eat biscuits (which are main hobbies of mine). In the afternoon I chaired one of the sessions, and then in the evening I had to make sure everyone got onto the coach to take us to the conference dinner.
Yesterday afternoon, after all the delegates had left, I felt the need to go home for an hour for a quick nap. I went back in later on to attend the unveiling of a bench in memory of a colleague who died last year.
But it's now weeked
I'll try to avoid thinking about work for 2 whole days.

today I bought all of the supplies for the kids school next year; in france the parents supply all books, pens pencils, paper and all.
I also bought any outstanding clothes and equipment for their summer camp.
I then labelled all above goods and all of joes clothes for camp.
A busy but productive day; tomorrow the beach

Red currant jelly.
I must have fallen asleep without realising today as I thought I was getting quite a bit done, but when I look back on it, apart from the usual dead-heading in the garden , floor washing, veggie watering type jobs, Red Currant Jelly is my one proper achievement. Can't work out what happened to all that time….

W E L L – what a day yesterday. Phew.
Up at 5 am, so hubby was out on the road erecting all the signage into town for the Bike Meet.
Finally, all the gubbins was loaded into the car.
At The Town Hall, all the gubbins unloaded into the Town Hall for the stall.
15 biscuit/cake tins of home-made goodies (that was just from us – others brought, too!) and 7 large boxes of knitted/crochet blankets/bags/teddies.
By 09.30 people started drifting in – mainly for the bacon butties being served from the kitchens with the early morning cuppa.
About 10.30, the ladies on the cake stall asked me if I could "stop crocheting and go home and make more Bakewell tarts – they're flying off the plate and nearly sold them all!" (Made in large pizza-type dishes and cut into 12 (each) – 24 portions in all, and using my homemade raspberry jam)
By lunchtime all the homity pasties and Cornish pasties had gone – hubby (a marshal for the day) came in for one, and they'd all gone – he was not too pleased, but then realised he could have an Eccles cake which is one of his favourites. Satisfied customer!
The day was very, very tiring, but by close of play, the cake stall had raised £557, and the Rotary stall (of which I was part), raised another £500. The 'helmet bar' – where m/cyclists could leave their helmets, jackets – and I gather for some, their trousers too(!) – also raised over £400. We don't have figures yet for the kitchen, or programme selling, but it was a very successful day overall, and all Rotary members were very happy with the way the day progressed.
