It was really, really quiet- usually it is heaving with people, but the combination of the cold weather and the dreaded vomiting bug seemed to have kept people at home- can't imagine why big_laugh……so my niece will be bringing most of my stuff back with her when she visits after Christmas.

I'm doing an 'open studio' again this Friday- the last one I did was on the coldest of cold days with ice everywhere, so only ONE customer ( I certainly wouldn't have gone out in the ice and freezing wind that day), from the weather forecast, looks like this Friday will be the same!

Hey ho. Next year I shall get stalls organised at earlier Fairs and start the open studio in November…it is early days, learning as I go.

Kateuk makes things at http://www.etsy.com/shop/finkstuff and sometimes she does this too http://www54paintings.blogspot.com/ and also this http://finkstuff.weebly.com/

What a shame Kate, mind you, this hasn't been the best of winters to start out has it?  Better luck for next year.

I'll try that again!

I use this program to make patterned backgrounds for cards and suchlike. Again, its a great time waster.

Kate, looking through Judith Green's fabulous pictures, I found this one – it so reminded me of your artwork (though this is a photo), but the free-flowing nature of the picture immediately grabbed my attention!

You were right, Danuta, her pictures are something else, aren't they? Wow, she is some keen photographer.

Go back to my link, and start looking leftwards (if you understand what I mean) past the redshank and sedge warbler - there is a picture of a 'necklace' fashioned out of dew. Absolutely amazing! Stunning!
