I used to play in the rounders team and we used to wear Marigolds to make sure that we didn't drop the ball….the 'Roundabouts' why? Because we were all about 40 years of age….
Now Marigolds and washing up liquid have and entirely different connotation…but if you are still welcome…you must have got something right…have you sent them the bill reckoning your hourly rate in that neck of the woods must have been comparable for an Eastern European either picking strawberries or packing lettuce.

Can I add my thanks for the hospitality, the tent space and all the lovely grub…still not eaten yet, I think I have enough cake in my system to keep me going for the rest of the week.
Slept like a log last night after a sleepless saturday night due to a) noisy music down the road b) Bloody Village clock c) being too full of cake. d) pitching the tent on a slope and then sleeping downhill (head at the bottom)
Hope there's one next year and my offer still stands to host it at ours, lots of space for camping and caravanning, just not much sleeping space in the house

Awwww – thanks MOS and Janet.
At the risk of going all gooey, sicky yucky – we feel so chuffed / privileged / pleased / that so many people came and stayed to the bitter end.
That said, we were glad to see the back of you all by midday Sunday!
And, Janet, we are still munching through the mass of stuff you brought. I am sending you my dentist bill. I discovered your fabulous fudge today for the first time. Can't stop nibbling on the stuff.

The fudge is fatally good – expect my dentist bill too.
Who made the veggie pasties – they're very good – recipe please?
I think it's a good thing my scales are out of order – although I have been extra specially generous and given soem cake to the Chap – the things I do eh…

Well I'm a little surprised that 'cake boxes' didn't come out for 'absent friends' although with the postal service being what it is out here…it would probably sit there until…'someone happens to be coming my way'.
Danny would have grown a beard, Fiona's poly-tunnel would probably have icicles and the hens would have hatched a new brood…
