Well, I left Fiona and Veronica chatting away and went to bed about 11:30.

The 5L rosé was reserved for today's guests but nothing else was spared!

Cloud with some blue overhead. No breeze at this hour at no rain.

Well to drown my sorrows at not attending I had a nice bottle of Rose and a couple tots of Glen Orrin (Lidl El Cheapo) malt whisky.  wine sloe_gin wine sloe_gin

Ended up buying a professional smoker on E-Bay.  aargh

Simon is a LIAR !! Which, I adore because . .

He and Val and Brian have just walked through the door.  big_hug

Just came upstairs to change after laying down a path of hedge clippings over the muddy buts just outside the back door. Sun is shining but ground is a morass.

Never mind. Onwards and upwards!

Will pass on your hugs happily.

Seth and Gottaknit arrived too, along with TCL and S, Magic Cochin and Cliff, Sue (pekins) and John.

Simon has fired up two smokers and is producing his famous roasted smoked garlic before our very ryrs. smells superb.

Val txtd Michele who sent hugs too.

Hard to believe what crappy weather we have had, sitting by the pond in glorious sunshine.

Must remind F to take photos.

Quick update from the Bulgarian arm of the forum.....ours started a little late since we had distances to travel....lunch was alfresco.....wine sprintzas washed it down, melon and icecream to follow but we had to move inside....it is hot, hot, hot.  The pool is tempting so some of us in borrowed swimming pools will be taking to the water when the temperature drops a little.

Hope you are having as good a time as we are.....ours will probably continue under the stars...pictures will be posted later on my blog .....

I think Elsa has been at the bottle too.

"The pool is tempting so some of us in borrowed swimming pools will be taking to the water when the temperature drops a little. "

Both gatherings sound as if they are having fun don't they?

I'll try that again!

Well what a lovely afternoon courtesy of;

  • Danny and Fiona for their lovely hospitality.
  • Brightspark (thank you sweetie) and Brian who kindly gave me a lift.. Must say Brian has the reactions of a speeding fly as he safely avoided a tyre sat in lane three of the M25. surprised
  • And everyone else for being such lovely people.

Dear Danny and Fiona,

Once again thank you very much for having us. What a grand afternoon of chat and gentle good-humourdness that was. And lots of lovely sampling of foods and drink.

Roll on the next one!!!

Jean and Roy
