Hmmmm......

My dad, cos it'd be wonderful to see him again, and I know he'd like at least 4 of the other guests.

My OH because I'd want him to meet my dad, and he'd also like to meet at least 2 of the other guests.

And the other guests are:

Mo Mowlam

John Smith (the Labour leader who died)

Dave Allen

Fish (former singer from prog rock band Marillion, cos I've always wanted to have dinner with him)

Bill Hicks

The meal would be start with Italian anti-pasti, steaks with lots of veg and different potatoes and salad for main course, something stodgy like black forest gateau for dessert, then a cheese board, then coffee and liqueurs, and lots of port in comfy armchairs round an open fire till the sun comes up.

The conversation would just be amazing.  All of the above people, including the OH and my dad, are heroes of mine.

And yes, I know its odd that a Lib Dem worker would want to meet Mo and John......tongue

Thanks Rae.  I just realised, all the people on my list apart from the OH and Fish are dead 🙁

My guests, in no order:

Florence Nightingale; Benazir Bhutto; Maureen Lipman

Leonardo da Vinci; Freddie Mercury; Prof Brian Cox; Stephen Fry

Food:

1. Pissaladiere

2. Moules Mariniere

3. Beef Bourguignon

4. Cheese selection (to help finish off the wine from dinner)

5. Choice of desserts:

          Sticky Toffee Pudding (has to be done!);

          Pavlova with fruits of the forest in a raspberry jus together with thick cream;

          Mint chocolate cheesecake

Coffee with mint thins and/or liqueur!

That's it!

"How do you spell 'Love'?" (Piglet).

"You don't spell it, you feel it" (Pooh).

 'A hug,' said Pooh 'is always the right size!'

Ooh Yes, I think I'll add Freddie Mercury to my list. Not got much further with other parts of it yet, Possibly Che Guevara, from his motorcycle diaries days, rather than his castro days.

And Joanna Lumley, she seems lovely

 Notice that you didn't speak up for me then......and you've got it wrong....he's talking about 'trumpets' but as I said....Louis Armstrong wasn't invited....you know what MOS is like when he's let out of the home for the bewildered...it's a good job Mrs MOS has a handle on things and gives him his medication regularly.......big_laughbig_laugh
