wave Well the best laid plans and all that!!  I should have started packing up by now, but with no power and it being so dark outside it was not really going to be possible.  Now, of course I have lost the will to get started.  It is still dark even with lights on.  Think I may just have to cuddle up in front of the fire today.  whistle

I was wondering how you were doing after seeing all the after storm pictures of Scotland. Hope you stayed safe through it all and hope you are warmer nowbig_hug1

I have started well by getting up! Cannot do much outside today as weather foul. Having coffee with a friend then some shopping to get. Usual chicken duties and laundry to do. Hopefully OH will continue laying flagstones in kitchen.
I am planning to move my sour dough starter to the next stage!

wave  Well I still have no heating and I hate it.  But it got me thinking about what a wimp my Mum would think me.  We never had central heating whilst growing up and we managed.  Mind you I do remember the frost inside the window in the morning when we got up.  Oh no, on second thoughts please, please can I have my power restored today.

Last night I had two duvets on the bed and three hot water bottles in it!!!!!  big_laugh   I slept like a log and was not too hot.  This wooden house loses heat so quickly.  I do think the flat will be cosier. smile

We don't want to go backward in evolution, I like my heating!  Good to hear you thinking positively about the flat.

I'll try that again!

wave  Sorry meant to add that you should be careful Toni and only go out in your wee car if you really feel safe.  big_hug

Sue, I am glad you got on well at the doctor's although it is a shame you have to go back for the pneumonia jab.  You could do without yet another visit to the surgery.  big_hug
