smileThe good news is my OH
went into respite for a week so I could go see my mum for her 87th
birthday. The bad news is I still have a dog, ducks, birds and fish
that need looking after. The good news is my DD came to house sit.
The bad news is she has ME and can't cope with more than keeping the
animals tended, so I came home to a mountain of dirty dishes and a
weeks worth of dust and dirt. The good news is I got to spend some
time with her before she went home. The bad news is T had a nasty
fall just before I collected him, so we had to spend three hours in
A&E. The good news is his injuries are minor. The bad news is he
has to go to a follow up clinic 16 miles away tomorrow and we don't have a car. The good news is our son
has changed his work hours so that he can take us there and back. The bad
news is the clinic says to expect to wait an hour before being
seen….. So why not give everyone later appointment times? Grrrrr! aargh

Thanks for the hugs girls. X rays showed up something funny going on with his bones. Probably side effect from all the drugs he has to take, but we'll see what the specialist says tomorrow. I'll definately be taking things to do, for one thing I'm really bad at sitting still and for another I've developed something of a hospital phobia after too many visits over the years and always bad news.

Big big_hug  big_hug  big_hug from me too Ruthie.  At least you are not thinking in terms of all bad news, well done!  And good wishes for today.

I'll try that again!

Well the good news was we arrived in good time. The bad news was that meant time to kill before the appointment was due. The good news was the cafe was open so we had a cuppa. smile

The bad news was that meant a trip to the loo and T taking a wrong turn and wandering off through a door marked "staff only". The good news was I caught him before he got very far into forbidden territory. eeek

The bad news was the clinic was indeed running late. The good news was we only waited 20 odd minutes! Hoorah! The bad news was T had fallen fast asleep…. zzzzz yawn

But the best news of all is I got lots of hugs from you lovely people. smile smile smile

Thank you everyone, you are all so kind.

Thanks Sue, at least its all pretty minor this time round. He's had some horrendous injuries in the past.

I keep looking out the window hoping to see some stilts, but nothing yet. big_laugh
