My favourite night of the week,  'Call the Midwife' and 'Mr Selfridge'  Do you get them in Canada yet, Chris?

I'm rather disappointed with TV at the mo, nothing I really want to watch, sat here now half watching top gear, but then going to just run through repeats of game of thrones while I do my knitting.

Just watched 'Mrs Brown's Boys' for the umpteenth time. The one where they are talking about putting the old Dog, in a Home, and she thinks it's her they mean! the tears ran down my Face! it may not be highbrow Televiewing, but better than a Bottle of Pills for making you feel good.laughlaughlaugh

Mr Selfridge, Call the midwife, Outnumbered and Restoration man revisited as it makes me feel better to see others taking so long with their renovations!

Trying to enjoy life as it is

Mrs Brown for a good belly laugh. Call the midwife, because they are getting it so right. Great British Sewing Bee because it makes me feel better about some of the bad work I have done - find myself saying "Nooo, not that fabric for that pattern!" At least I didn't make my mistake-garments in public!

Yep, Mrs Brown is a hoot.  I also like Call the Midwife (except for the birth bits big_laugh.....but even they're not too graphic).  George Gently is good too (so politically incorrect!) and I really like NCIS and the CSI's.

One of my favourite series of programmes is the Wartime Farm, Victorian Farm, Mediaeval Farm etc.....that historian woman Ruth's laugh irritates me but she does know her stuff and throws herself into everything with gusto.

I'd have watched that hormones programme if I'd known it was on, Eileen......my hormones are playing havoc with all aspects of my life at the mo confused

I can't stand Mrs Brown, I find it so childish.  I am with you Sue on the Historical Farm series; Ruth is, apparently, a self-taught historian.  She certainly knows her stuff.

I'll try that again!

I do have quite a childish sense of humour TA whistle, I laugh at things that schoolboys find amusing.  Having said that, my mother and brother used to laugh their socks off at Frank Spencer in Some Mothers do 'ave 'em, whereas I didn't find that at all funny.

I do like to watch a good film on a Saturday night, something absorbing with strong characters and a definite strong storyline.  I also like most of the Bond films (particularly the newest ones with Daniel Craig laugh) and anything with Johnny Depp and Jason Statham in it.  Oh, and musicals!  I love musicals, My Fair Lady is my all time favourite.

It's just as well that we are all different isn't it?  I hate musicals, other than those made by Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly etc.  D won't watch films at all so I have no chance.

I'll try that again!

I love to watch a good scientiific documentary, and the only comedy I watch is the big bang theory, and I watch emmerdale. other than that the tv is off. I would rather read a book

We like the big bang theory in our house. Orna likes the theme tune and gets up to dance when it comes on.

I will admit to watching top gear but most of what we watch is streaming or dvds.

Visit my blog for food, drink, photography and hamsters.

I can't stand the Ruth , woman, in the Farm series, a lot of things from the War, I remember, as I lived through it, and it annoyed me no end when they got it wrong.roll_eyes
