So true, Sue. xx

"How do you spell 'Love'?" (Piglet).

"You don't spell it, you feel it" (Pooh).

'A hug,' said Pooh 'is always the right size!'

A propos of the Good Karma Hospital - what has Amanda Redman done to her face?  I can't concentrate on the plot for trying to figure out if it's Botox, an eye lift, a facelift confused

I know what you mean, Iris - they just end up making themselves look ridiculous I think.  Like this fad for actresses/reality TV so-called 'stars' to have pouty (injected with something or other) lips - it always looks to me like they've had some violent allergic reaction to something they've eaten.

And what about Mickey Rourke, have you seen him lately on TV?  eeek  He used to be so goodlooking when he was younger.....now, he's had so much 'work' done to his face, he looks positively scary and SO unnatural  surprised

Well there's Call the Midwife on tonight, of course.  And then at 9 pm on Channel 5 there's a documentary about Freddie Mercury - can you believe it's 25 years since he died?!  surprised  Both husband and I are big Queen fans, so we'll be watching that (or recording it if we can't keep our eyes open).

Is anyone watching the new series of the Real Marigold Hotel, with the new set of celebrities?  I used to adore Paul Nicholas years ago.....good grief, just how OLD!! has he got now?  He's 71, how on earth did that happen?  His voice is exactly the same, but he's practically bald and so OLD!  (he's still gorgeous though  wink )

Am a big Queen Fan too, Sue, my Favourite Group.  Have seen a few Documentaries about Freddie, and am sure I know all, well, maybe not all ! there is to know, but will still watch it.  Did watch the Real Marigold Hotel, but found it all a bit sad, so turned it off.  Rather remember them how they were.

I will not be watching the new 'Bake Off' on ITV. Sandi Toksvig, Prue Leith, Paul Hollywood, and a strange looking so called Comedian who is I am glad to say completely unknown to me, but he might be the Star Turn. Been watching Mary Berry's 'Everyday Cooking; whilst it may not be my everyday Cooking, it is still enjoyable, because she is who she is, and loves what she does. Wonder if BBC have a cunning Plan, for a different Cooking Programme. with Mary, Mel, and Sue.laugh

Like you, Tina, it doesn't sound anywhere near as good. Noel Fielding is a very talented artist (painter), but I'm not too sure quite how he's going to fit in to the new group.

I couldn't imagine Prue Leith being interested in this sort of thing, but we'll see.

I've been watching Mary Berry too, Tina, she just has a way about her that inspires me to try things.

I like Noel Fielding - as a comedian, I didn't know he was a painter - but not sure how he would fit in on a cookery show.  Never been keen on Prue Leith, and although I used to like Paul Hollywood (he has the most gorgeous eyes!), I do think he's got a bit too big for his boots in recent times.  I also think he's too picky on Bake Off and knocks the contestants down too much.  Don't think I'll be watching.  Mary's new cooking show is great, her recipes are simple but delicious looking, and I really love her enthusiasm.

Mary loves her Food, wonder how she manages to stay slim.    With that Line-up, plus Adverts, think the new Bake Off, will crash and Burn. Too many clashing personalities.

Watching, 'Save Money, good Food', how can anyone justify spending £ 230 a Week on Food, for a Family of Four. Why can't they make a Programme aimed at young Women, and Men, trying to exist on Dole Money, or Mothers trying to feed Families on a Budget.steam

What are you watching and enjoying on TV at the moment?

We like Call the Midwife on Sunday evenings, Cold Feet on Mondays and Death in Paradise tonight.  Husband's been enjoying the series about the Red Arrows too.

I like Father Brown in the afternoons, if I'm not busy in the kitchen.
