It will be bonfire night very soon- doesn't seem the right sort of weather for that- normally we are standing outside huddled in thermals as it is usually cold now.

wave For the first time in a long time, I am going to have an early night. yawn  I have a really good book to read on my Kindle, but also a real problem to work out before I sleep.  The problem is not mine, but I am going to try to resolve something very serious for a good friend.  Peace and quiet and a cosy bed to organise my thoughts.  So I shall say night night to all and sleep well.  yawn

just found this having gone to bed early with a good book too. As I am an hour ahead of you in the UK I log off by about 9pm!

Hope a solution has been found to the problem and all have slept well

I too hope you have resolved the problem Danuta & also had a good read. I have just started on a biography of Bess of Hardwick (by Mary S. Lovell). It has been on my book pile for a while awaiting the right moment to start it. I read a lot of history nowadays but not exclusively by any means. I think it might be fun to have a topic on what we are reading, maybe I will start one. I like to know what others read as it pushes me to try other authors & subjects. What do you other readers think?

Thanks Danuta for your kind wishes. I slept better than usual & I am about to go let the chickens out, hoping for more of an improvement in Antony but being prepared for the worst. It was pretty chilly overnight but he seems to be able to get up onto his usual high perch & was surrounded by his ladies when I locked up yesterday.

I love the Morland dynasty by Cynthia Harrod Eagles as I am a history fan. It takes a family from 1400 to the present day and so far I have about 36 books. There was a new one  in November and normally I re read the whole series before starting the new book but couldn't find them all due the chaos of boxes. I couldn't resist so read the new one. I have now found all the others so am back at the beginning. It will keep me happy through the Winterbig_laugh

Definitely the right thread.  Goodnight good friends, I need to take one more pill then go to sleep.  See you all tomorrow,  sleep well, and big hugs.

I'll try that again!
