embarassed

I was just about to ask TA and Mutley how the heck they knew it was my b'day. But then I checked the blog and it's splashed all over the articles of the day from previous years. doh

Thank you all very much for taking the trouble to paint your birthday posts! (and for your generous supply of booze, Val)

It's going to be a giant T-bone steak and chips tonight. F has concocted a treasure hunt, which should be great fun and a good larf.

Such artistic efforts! welldone

Thanks, Danuta, Barbara and Kitty Kate, and to Val, Joanna and Toffeeapple.

big_hug to everybody. Love you all dearly.

Just about to start cooking the Birthday Supper. Must pluck some runner beans from the kitchen garden. They are very good this year. Steak, chips and fresh green beans is one of my Top 10 dishes. We rarely have T-bones because they are so darned expensive but really looking forward to it.

Fiona took a lot of trouble over her treasure hunt this afternoon after cooking brunch at lunchtime. It was great fun, with the clues printed off from her laptop and prizes of my favourite candy treats - Galaxy, Tunnock's Tea Cakes, Star Bar, and two packs of 3 each of that most sinful and more-ish temptation known to mankind (and the only thing from Hershey that I like) Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, which I was forced to share angry .

Thankfully, the clues were simple brightsparklystuff

Her sis brought me a lovely red wine and a man book (Clive Cussler). Perfect for the darker evenings ahead. Her mum sent me a nice cheque that will go towards the shoes and trews that F will give me as my main pressie. All in all a lovely and pleasant day.

gosh darn it, I hate to be late for a party, and this beyond "fashionably" I fear.

Penblwydd Herpes Danny. Sounds like a lovely day was had by, well, you, mostly. Though I'm sure Fn also had fun.

Thanks, TA.

And thank you very much, Rae, for your good wishes here and on the blog. I must respo0nd to all those blog "birthday cards" tomorrow.

I guess you all know that as the years advance, the celebration becomes less important than just being remembered for a day. That is sweet and a text or card does the trick. Thankfully, F made a big effort to create a fun memory. I treasure great memories over "things". Christmas is different, Then I will need a lot of underwear and socks cheers
