You are so right Elsa; he's started to practice his crowing & he has improved in the last day or so……….!! This means he will have to leave for "freezer camp" (as my American friends call it) rather sooner than I would have liked. So I am sharpening the knives tomorrow………!! All I have to worry about is catching him as he is very wary of me.

Or the cockerel just can't reach Hattie…I think a quick call to the RSPCC (Cockerels) might be on the cards…..

Yes Kate , they can make a hell of a noise at all times of the day. I love the way they look but I cringe at the row they make in the wee hours of the morning or if they are disturbed or scared. But I also hate dogs barking endlessly or worse still the owners yelling at them (& their children) to stop.
