Not so much for the pictures as for the beguiling little tune.

I see that I have now made over 900 posts on CSH, what happens when I get to 1,000. Do I get a telegram from the Queen or a visit from Phil the Greek, or a £25.00 voucher to spend in M & S - do I have a choice ? Because if so I would like some warning so I can give it some thought. Or is it a special surprise from Danny and Fiona, like Goodbye Chris you have used up your welcome!!! If it is that then can I have my clock reset please.

Perhaps I will become an 'annointed one' - or maybe just well oiled !!

Chris, rest assured your future here is secure . . because we are still eating through the mound of gorgeous sausages you brought here for July 23rd. I do realise that they were meant for the BBQ and not to sustain us for a year but hey ho! cheers

Thanks Danny, glad to know the sausages came in handy. I still have a couple of packs I bought in the town from you know who (forgotten their name!).

It was a great w/e.

Next time if the invite still holds, I am bringing luncheon vouchers (to help you light the BBQ!).

Take care, just off for lunch at one of our locals the landlord is totally mad, the food is fantastic and I am hoping he can fit us in for New Years Eve, will have to talk to him nicely...

Life is like a wheelbarrow

Aly's post about having so much to do and that 'retirement' was so busy¦reminded me of this analogy I came up with when things were getting on top of me.

View your life objectively and imagine a wheelbarrow. What have you put in there yourself or what you have allowed others to put in either by lack of thought or by just wanting to help someone out?  Remember who put in what and at times you just have to remind them that you offered to carry it for a while but  it's in the wrong wheelbarrow.  It should be in theirs.  There's nothing wrong with reevaluating the contents¦.

You are allowed to put it down, take a rest and when you feel strong enough, pick it up and start pushing.  There might even be times that you can run with it if it's down hill but life's not flat¦there are peaks and troughs.

When things get tough¦.I remind myself that I loaded my own wheelbarrow and have to manage it accordingly.

Good thought, thanks. I am one of those people who offers help to all and sundry without thinking about it! I struggle to say no! I will visualize the wheelbarrow and try to view it the way I do when moving logs or sand, there is only so much I can manage! I also have to remember I cannot do as much as I did when I was 25!
