I had to look up the expression 'whoosed' as I have never heard it before, being such an old biddy.
Here's enlightenment for any others, this dictionary is very useful to me…..I can understand a lot more of what I read online thanks to it……

Phew, that IS a relief! I somehow just can't get the sense of the word. Anyway, it sounds too much like whoosh to me. But I am currently reading this, which is a super book, I am enjoying it enormously.

Nope cannot help, I looked at the meanings and cannot see how I would use the word. Perhaps it is an age thing! I have always used it to mean a soppy person but not sure how it would be spelt.

That's interesting, TA, we often hear phrases and wonder how they came to be, so I think I would enjoy the book, too.
