raclette set ; now theres a very useful piece of equipment!!

use to make raclette; melted cheese in little warmers; sometimes with heated meats, sometimes with cold meats, wserved with gherkins; mmmm on a cold night!!

we have one of those too!!

Oh I have one of those.   A friend gave it to me last year when I retired and it has never been out of the box. To tell the truth I had forgotten about it.  Only seen one used once and it was very good and very sociable.

Dear God,

Please do not let Fiona see this thread.

I have almost convinced her that she is the only one in the whole wide world who suffers from this affliction, and the cottage is soooo small.

Thank you, Lord. Cheers

Also - Ruth, I did not know you had a blog. Nice one! WellDone

Do consider setting up a signature in your profile with a link to it. See Veronica's and Mutley's posts - they have a link.

Let me know if you want me to do it for you. No problemo.

All blogs are different, Ruth, don't be shy - they all add to our experience......  thumbs up

Well done for having one! Ok

Too much to get my head round all this technical stuff.

Kitchen gadgets, equipment, I want, I want....

It is easier to resist now my kitchen is smaller, sometimes at least, maybe, when I don't go into shops or look online that is. The dehydrator lives on the worktop, (worktop, what worktop? oh, that area covered with spices, and mixer, and kettle, and knifeblock, and...) and the breadmachine and microwave live on a table top fitted over the washer and dryer in the utility room. I need a new preserving pan, mine is old (not a problem) and aluminum (definitely a problem, it is pitted) so I am looking longingly at them on line, and in Lakeland, and none of them are quite a big as mine so I haven't found the perfect one yet. Laugh

yep

Fiona sent me a very worried email today explaining that you didnt mean to be rude!!!!!! I reassured her that it was a mistake!

PS Danny really Fiona is to blame for the dehydrator and the apple peeler; so I think she needs to join this group!!

Joanna, I would love a new preserving pan, but I have an induction cooker and am very limited as the pan needs to be magnetic for the cooker to work (didn't know this when I bought it for the new house!:)

Mum mentioned to me that she bought a yoghurt maker today... another tempting thought.  I have promised her an apple peeler when I visit in April.

So it just needs to be steel then doesn't it Shelley? Not copper bottomed.

Yoghurt maker Hmm! Long time since I had one of those.
