Rae's possibly slightly less than entirely sensible plan to shave her head to raise money for the Alzheimer's society

I think that about says it all. Me, good cause, baldness, hilarity. What more could you want?

Thank you kindly, kind lady! As you say, every bit helps.

There will of course be pictures available for everyone's amusement once the deed is done.

You deserve to succeed Rae. WellDone   Your hair is so beautiful.  The only thing that worries me is what are you going to pull out when you are enjoying ranting and raving.  ( Sorry couldn't resist that! ) Big_LaughBig_LaughBig_LaughBig_LaughBig_LaughBig_LaughBig_Laugh

I think you are very brave.

I shall have to rend my garments instead. Fortunately my hair grows quite quickly, so before it gets to cold again I will hopefully have enough to get a firm hold of.

That pic was actually taken two years ago, so my hair is longer than that now.

Go Rae!!!!!!!!!!WellDoneWellDoneWellDone

What are you going to do with your hair after its cut?

You could donate your hair to one of the organizations that makes wigs for cancer patients. That would give you a two fold good deed. Just a thought.

And I for one will not laugh at you, not for such a wonderful thing......SmoochBig_Hug

Thank you Danuta and Michelle!

I shall look into this hair donation idea. Oddly enough I've heard of places in America that do this, but not of any here in the UK, let alone wales specifically. If anyone knows anything then please pass it on.

Michelle beat me to it - curses! I was going to say that I'd make a small donation now and double it if you gave it to "locks of love" or something similar. Surely there must be one in the UK too!?! If not, hang onto it until the Christmas hols when I'll be visiting Gwent (hopefully), then I'll pick it up and bring it back to the US. I foresee potential amusement during the declarations stage at customs......Surprised

Their website has a useful video to show your hairdresser...

Hey Rae, do you maybe want to edit your link to the one that works, or Joanna do you maybe want to highlight the link that you found? I could make that one work.

Suz, you are a sweet one to volunteer to bring Rae's hair back if that's what she ends up doing. Locks of love is a great organization, I know a young lady that regularly grows her hair out, just to cut it off and donate it to them.  Hopefully there is a UK chapter.....

I love the "locks of love", Suz! You definitely have a future in marketing. Ok

Crikey, Rae, that is some major sacrifice on your behalf, even for charity. I will have a chat with Fiona to see how we can help to maximise your effort with an article or two.

I'm sure there will be a UK version. I'll just have to do some digging around to find it. And then I shall definitely give them my hair.

I can't go back and edit a post from that long ago.

But this should now be a correct link:
