........... but only salads surely, Kate?

You know folks, I feel as if I've been on a diet, in some form or other, most of my life - anyone else been there?  smile

Yep, me too.....and the nurse at my health check up I had recently said it's the worst possible thing - your body apparently gets so acclimatised to on/off dieting that it goes into lockdown every time you start a new diet, and clings onto your fat for dear life! eeek  No wonder it's so blooming hard to lose weight.....and no I'm not even trying, just can't get into it at all. doh

No loss, but no gain either (glass half full syndrome)

with you there Danuta, the only one I can honestly say I stuck to though was weightwatchers, and lost 2 stone. Another weight loss regime I found worked was breaking my pelvis and being confined to bed on traction for several weeks, followed my more weeks on crutches. Lost TONS of weight, maily because I couldn't get up and find food to eat.

wave Not the best way to do it though Janet.  whistle

I'm not really on a diet right now, more of an eating plan that really means I have cut down drastically on quantities of food.  I never have been one for snacking, chocolate, crisps, processed foods etc.  I eat lots of soup and fruit. eeek

wave  Kate, I think you should go and see the doctor.  It is all very well losing weight, but not at the expense of your health.  Please take care.  big_hug

Well done to all who have lost weight. I am trying too, but the inches are as important. Has anyone seen this? Judith Wills wrote books about diet and health, and has admitted how much weight she put on in the last few years. There are photos of her before and after, and she writes about her ups and downs with losing weight and doing more exercise.

Hi, Danuta. Yes, I am fine (don't want to tempt fate!), I just haven't had time to log in here. I have looked at the forum from time to time, but was horrified just now to see how long it's been since I was here. We have had good weather, so I have been in the garden when not working. I am trying to catch up with 50 topics with new posts...
