Hello everyone…

I know I haven’t been around much, but I do still lurk and try to keep up with everyone.
I do a lousy job of it but I try, I try…confused

At any rate, I have been missing our favorite writer’s updates, memories and rambles.

I was thinking over her top stories, the ones that really stuck in my mind (for whatever reason) so I thought I’d post links to them, and ask you all to post links to your favorite stories too.

Just quickly thinking, off the top of my head…and I KNOW I’ll stir up a hornet’s nest…but I LOVED the Guinea Pig story. Not the fact that the Guinea Pig died, that was horrible, but the after…I sooo related to that...

Guinea Pigs are heaven to eat.

The other story that really stuck in my head was the duckling story…

Ducklings

I should also probably add the story that brought me to Fiona in the first place.

I was looking for a recipe for mincemeat...

Best mincemeat recipe for mince pies and puddings

Really great stories that touched me, stuck with me, and made me a fan of our Fiona.

Does anyone else have a favorite?

I had to look up the guinea pig story, someone mentioned it at one of the get togethers. I hope Fiona is doing ok, does anyone keep in touch with her?

I think I came across this site in the same way Michelle, can't remember what recipe I was looking for, but will now have to search for it.

I have emailed Fiona a couple of times but have had no response.  The last time I had contact with Danny, he said that she is doing well, sorting out the cottage and garden.  I do miss her.

I'll try that again!

Just in case you are lurking again, Michelle, we drove through Marlborough yesterday, and I caught sight of the White Horse behind Marlborough College, and it took me straight back to your UK visit, when we toured the White Horse trail.

We miss you and your interaction.

Hi Val!

I set up a screen-saver that flips through all of the pictures I have downloaded from my phone…now I get to see the White Horse pictures from time to time.
But more importantly, your prism is in the front window of my dining area. It casts rainbows every afternoon when there is even a hint of sun.
I think about you every day….smooch big_hug

I so wish we could have come back this year, but money is in too short of supply right now.  aargh
