Just looked up a recipe for nectarines and it said to put them in to a COLD FREEZER. Does anybody out there have a warm freezer?

Oh dear, just checked my freezer.

It is VERY COLD.

Does this mean it might be the wrong sort of cold for freezing stuff? big_laugh

It may have been your 'random thought' Sandy, but it gave me the idea to look up nectarine recipes – sad, but true – and came across this one.

Sounds like another, 'must try'.

Thanks for the thought!! welldone

There am I envying everyone elses blackcurrants and gooseberries…my favourites. I have grown rhubarb this year but cannot harvest until next season..all the villagers are waiting as I've told them how wonderful it is. You can bet they will hate it after all this

Funny thing, Sandy, we've had trouble, forever, trying to grow rhubarb. roll_eyes

I mentioned this to a neighbour earlier this year, and he said a friend had an allotment and the rhubarb was taking over – next thing I know a huge clump of rhubarb arrives, gift from said friend.  Hubby planted it and it's doing wonderfully well – but he too has told me that we can't have any this year – I so would like to cut some and taste it – and the last few green stalks are excellent in rhubarb sauce, (which I adore) so maybe next year I'll be cooking some rhubarb (fingers crossed)

ok.

I have masses of it doing very well, far too much for 2 of us but if it goes down well with the villagers( it is not known here) I can add that to my bartering project along with swedes and parsnips.
