Four year old son, many years ago, was gazing up at the ceiling.

"What are you looking at?"

"I'm watching a fly with no engine" (ie a silent one)shoo_fly

wave A long time ago when my boys were quite young we were going to buy them bunk beds and of course an argument started over who should have the top one.  I explained that perhaps it should go to Colin as he was older.  Scott thought for a moment and then said,  "  I have a good idea Mum.  You could buy two sets and sell the bottom ones!!!!! "

That's the thing I found really spooky when I went on an exchange to France in the 1960's - even tiny children spoke such good French - and with such good accents too!

children say lots of things, I have just spent a weekend with a 2 yr old and she does not stop talking from the moment she gets up until she is in bed. Though she is very polite and always say yes peas and no choo (no thank you) when we leave a shop she always turns to the assistant and says bye bye lady.

Nicky is two in April. We think he might have a career as a lawyer ahead of him.

"Come on Nicky, nappy time"

"No, Nicky had nappy change, yesterday"

Toni, I think, given his age and ours, that he is going to have to look after himself - certainly we are unlikely to be available to be looked after by the time he reaches full prosperity!

What a shame, Jean.  Still it will be interesting to watch his development won't it?

I'll try that again!

my granddaughter was out for a walk with her mum today and they came across a fallen tree on the path which they had to climb over, Tegan says to her mum that the tree was very tired and had to lie down for a sleep.
