It has been a mixed day today - at some points we had glorious sun, at others thick cloud and yet again, heavy rain.

I'll try that again!

Mixed here too, although we only had brief drizzly showers, not heavy rain.

wave Very cold wind blowing here from time to time today.  Pretty dull, with  a few showers, but at least it was dry for our walk this afternoon.

Blowing a hooley tonight with an amber warning for rain.  It's bad enough here but I do feel for those of you in Scotland and the North.  Our fields normally drain well but my raised bed outside the house has been streaming all day.  Guess there will be a river running from it tomorrow.  No respite expected until Sunday when we may see some sun.

wave Horrible, very wet morning here.  It has cleared somewhat, but is very cold.  The gritters have been out, so they must be expecting it to get even colder.  There is a slight dusting of snow on the hills now.

I don't envy you the snow!

We had a rather wet morning but it suddenly cleared up and D and I have been for a lovely drive  around Northamptonshire, it looked beautiful with all the green fields and the sheep in them.

I'll try that again!

wave It was only a dusting on the hills and I have just seen the forecast and it looks like the main snowfalls will miss us - I hope!!

So much for the forecast dry weather today!  It's pouring down again.  Maybe it will brighten up later?  Being in the far SW we don't have the severe cold Tina and Simon are experiencing.  Have to be thankful for small mercies.

Bright sunshine here Iris......and no it's not particularly cold here either.  But then I've not been outside yet.....haven't got heating on though, no need.
