So I'm hoping that the clouds will disappear soon. Apparently it is going to be the longest eclipse for a decade and will last about 100 minutes. It will be low in the sky though so you need to be on low lying ground in the south east. Good luck everyone!

Toni as I said on the weather thread, I think I am out of luck tonight even if I do have wonderful clear skies for a change – too far north and moonrise too late.

Nope, no chance of seeing anything, complete cloud here, same as Janet. Shame it couldn't have been last night, clear sky with the moon as bright as anything then

Managed to get one shot of it and then it was gone…but at 4.48 this morning it mockingly shone brightly and woke me up….got the photos to prove it…and then back to bed….

It was completely cloudy when I check last night. It's been years since I managed to see an eclipse – the last few have always been an inconvenient time or bad weather
Hmmm… checking through the archives on my website, it was 1996! The photos were taken from a caravan site on Anglesey so at least I had a dark sky.
(link to photos – ignore the big ugly 'watermarks' but at the time there were quite a lot of incidents of people stealing photos from my website and that was my first attempt at stopping it)
