Bought three pairs of jeans for €23! One pair are navy with white spots, very French and cost €5 in the sales! All in size 12!

Found vegetarian products in the supermarket. Yippeee!

I can top that - I was advised that my State Pension will rise by a whopping £3.14 per week from 10th April!  I can hardly wait, it won't take quite so long to save up for a bottle of wine will it?  steam

I'll try that again!

You are so much younger than I am.  I deferred mine for five years so have been claiming it for only five years.

I'll try that again!

Wow, those jeans were a bargain, Aly!  eeek

Toni, don't spend it all at once!  I guess that means husband will be getting a rise too.....not that he's been informed yet.  Every little helps!

I will try not to Sue.  It might cover the increase that TalkTalk has put on my broadband charge but I am not entirely sure about that...  roll_eyes

I'll try that again!

I mentioned in another thread the other day that I was thinking of getting another breadmaker, as I want to start making our bread again rather than buying it (part of our costcutting moves in the run up to husband's retirement in June, and for health's sake).  However, after some thought I decided a stand mixer would be better - after all, I only ever used my previous breadmaker for the dough setting.  It seems pointless buying a bread machine just for that, when a stand mixer can be used for cake making, whisking, etc as well.  I said I'd found a model I was happy with and would be getting it within days.

Toni, you asked me which one it was - it's a Morphy Richards 400020 model, 1000 watts and 10 speeds.  On the M/Richards own website, it's £129.99 - well, amazingly, in Argos it's £69.99 - just over half the price!  So I've got it today, at the much reduced price.....laugh

I am very fortunate and have a kitchen aid! I use it often for all sorts of things but always use the old bread machine for my bread. Enjoy playing with your new machine Sue!

Despite having lots of flowers in the house, as I mentioned before, this morning another bouquet arrived. I had told my daughter not to buy any, well, yet (!) until these have gone, so I was surprised to hear that another had arrived (OH had opened the door).

Oh, how lovely is this - it's from my French neighbours. They are very caring people, and of my daughter's age group. They don't normally send cards, let alone flowers. How wonderful for people to think in that way. I was quite choked! heart
