Ruthie, that sounds a lovely day - so nice to balance out the sadness with the lovely flowers and photos for your Mum, followed by the picnic and fun with the children big_hug

Elsa, that was a really special thing to do for your friend....wish someone would do it for me big_laugh

Toni - I'm doing cream squares alternating with blues, about 6 different shades of blues/violets.  I'm crocheting 6" granny squares, I'll join all the squares with crochet in cream and then do 3 or 4 border rows, also in cream.  Never joined with crochet before, always sewn the squares together, but it's so tedious so thought I'd try the crocheted joining this time.

She was there for me when I broke my wrist and now I'm proving that it's all working again.  She offered help but didn't overwhelm me in the healing process...I appreciated that and now I do for her. I'm able to organise, direct and carry out.....I'm a solutioniser that gets from point A-to B quickly....it's a God given talent...the Lord works....winkwink

Actually it was yesterday, but: David Attenborough was showing a Himalayan Pheasant. Who says dogs don't see pictures on television?! She was rivetted. And continued to watch intently when they showed the Indian/Pakistani soldiers doing their strutting display at the border crossing. Laid back down again when it went to a landscape. Then back to gazing at some deer.

I suspect we shall be watching a great many more wildlife programmes from now on. Suits me!

Been out and about doing errands, drove through beautiful countryside with acres of wheat, barley and maize waving in the breeze. When I arrived home Bruno was in the garden so rather than call OH to grab him I opened the gate. He met me at the back of the car so I opened the door and he jumped in. He sat beautifully until I had parked and let him out. Despite there being cows in the fields he did not try to run anywhere but waited for me. Managed to walk down to the house without him jumping up once. Two things that make me feel good.

I saw that programme too, Jean;  the Pheasant was amazing wasn't it?  I like the border guards too.

Good to know that she is enjoying life with you already. big_hug

I'll try that again!

I like it!

Yesterday we had a dog that was glad we turned on the Battersea Dogs' Home programme. She even moved her bed so she could watch it lying down. I think she is going to enjoy Kate Humble, this evening.

I hope she is not going to start drinking your wine as well...

What is the Humble doing tonight?  I know I could look it up but...

I'll try that again!

A new puppy joined agility class this morning. A lovely man came with her, another expat who is renovating. I feel happy with my lot as he and his wife have been living in a mobile home on site for three years whist renovating a barn. At least I live in our house even if it is not finished.

Finally finishing the top of my patchwork quilt, just have to wait for the wadding to arrive and it can go on the quilting frame.

That has helped me alot TA. That's one of the mistakes that usually gets me really riled up. Another biggie for me is when people use an apostrophe in "its" when it's not required, e.g. the horse broke it's leg.

(P.S. for anyone who has not checked TA's link, my error is intentional)
