Waiting for the snow to arrive- daughter in Wales has heavy snow and their shcools are closed, just started in Northamptonshire where son is based, so not far away now. Warmer here than last few days, still below freezing, but about minus 2. Grey skies, light wind.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

I's been snowing here since about 9.00am.  I have no idea of temperature but the snow is falling off cars in large lumps so I guess it isn't as cold as it has been.

I'll try that again!

waveVery cold and windy, the type of wind that cuts right through you.  But we have no snow.  It has been dry here all day.

Hope all you folks down south are keeping safe and warm.  big_hug

Well I have approx. 6" of snow outside my front door; I have just measured it. It seems to have stopped falling now but there is still a lot up there, the sky is solid looking. The temperature is -2*C now & pretty windy. The chickens are not happy but they cheer up when I feed them extra rations. I am so glad I had the sense to get a delivery of their food last Monday. I have enough for 3 weeks at least.

Just went to shut cluckingham palace and 3 chickens were huddled under a bush in the garden. I realized they had been first out this morning before the snow really started. I had given them their share of pasta earlier without thinking why they were the only ones there. They did not want to walk through the snow to get to their barn. So I carried them! Ducks were already tucked up when I got there. Bruno had a snowy walk too. I am sure we will have more snow overnight.

We've still got a light covering of snow from earlier in the week, had a bit more around 6 ish, but then nothing else yet, forecasters are still predicting it, but we'll see. Been around -2 all day, so a bit slushy.

wave  It is a beautiful, very cold morning with bright skies, high cloud and there was a wonderful sunrise. No snow here, only on the hills and that is from a few days ago!
