Wet and windy, I shall get wet when I go downstairs to take the meter readings.

I'll try that again!

Howling gale here again.  The chicken(less) coop is covered up with a tarpaulin - that blew off in the night, as did the nest box lid!  Good job we have no chickens as yet eeek

And the polytunnel mooring had come adrift at the front, so it was lifting up in the wind.....husband is outside in his wet weather gear seeing to it all.

Breezy, feels colder than it is, and has rained heavily on and off today.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Absolutely grim here, hasn't let up all day.  Our front path is flooded, the field at the back has turned into a giant lake, the gully in the front access road is like a fast-flowing river.....it feels like we are surrounded by a moat roll_eyes

Just went to tuck up the chickens, felt mean as had to turn a cat out of their house! Blowing a gale and garden is saturated. Fields flooded again.

Trying to enjoy life as it is

Still wet and wild here , hope it lets up soon.  I went upstairs to put some things away in the bedroom at the top of the house to find my roof leaking, of course it is new years day and no one is working, so have buckets and towels everywhere. I just hope that there is not too much damage before I can get someone to see to it.

Never give up Tomorrow is another day.

Don't rub it in Jack! We had -9C this morning, dropped to -11C by the afternoon. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the minus teens and the wind chill will make it feel like -20 something! We are still snow covered with a layer of ice underneath, making walking treacherous. Fortunately the main roads are clear and dry so driving isn't a problem.

Home is where the heart is.
