wave Think I will come and stay with you Nadine!  big_laugh

It is awful here, a bit of snow on the hillsides, but down here it is icy rain with a breeze.  Not very pleasant at all.  frown

I am cosying up in my wee flat, making soup and comforting goulash!!

Slightly wamer, only a light frost and first signs of snow- very fine dusty stuff is falling intermittently- nothing serious at the present.

It has been a gloriously sunny day but it is just beginning to wind down; the sky is clouding over & it is getting a lot colder. I have just been feeding the chickens a double ration of corn so they have plenty to keep them warm through the night. I always do this before below freezing nights. They have been perching & sunbathing in the most sheltered areas of the garden.

I hope most of you had good weather too.

Danuta, I am so sorry your weather is so grim, I hope the next few days are not too terrible. Keep warm & safe.  big_hug  Your goulash sounds like a good idea. I made something similar with some pieces of pork shoulder I had & some smoked Spanish Pimenton (I hadn't got any Hungarian paprika). It was great with brown rice & steamed Savoy cabbage.  Mmmmm!! Just right for this chilly weather & there is enough for tomorrow as well.

More rain and very cold. Waiting for next delivery of wood which is now becoming urgent. We are burning old stuff we found on our property but it doesn't burn so well.

What a beautiful day! When we woke this morning there was a thick, thick frost on the trees and later on the skies cleared and the sun came out. Not quite enough to melt much at all, just a little of the frost. Oh it was so nice to see the sun and blue sky and the trees looked truly magical. It was -15C at 9am though and I think it was -12C in car on the way home at 4pm. cool

wave  Snow here overnight & the temperature is 0*C at the moment. It looks as if it is about 1.5 cms thick but there is more to come later.

Hope everyone is safe & warm. Be careful not to slip, we can't afford to take risks in this kind of weather. I shall take my 3rd leg (my stick) with me whenever I go out to the chickens etc. They are very quiet this morning, probably inside taking shelter if they have any sense.

Ditto. Woke up this morning to find snow on the car. I think I need to get myself a cup of coffee or something to hold and warm my hands up cos my fingers are a bit too cold and it's not making typing very easy!

Snow overnight here, about 0 centigrade, sun is out in a white cloudy sky. Only about a cm i wouls estimate. Could not find my plastic snow shovel- it has not been used much recently, so not sure where we squirreled it away. When we lived in Scotland, it lived by the back door every winter, we always had snow, but how much was unpreditacble.

About 2" on the  car this morning and has just started again . Roads clear sprout & leek lorries going all night ensures that .
