I love scallops but they are usually so expensive. A while ago we got some frozen scallops (can't remember whether they were Tesco or Iceland) and they quite cheap but were nowhere near as good as fresh. Hmmm, must have scallops again soon.

Visit my blog for food, drink, photography and hamsters.

TA, just give up and go with the flow...... it's easier on the head......big_laugh  Truely, it's only a problem when you are trying to find a tidbit of information, and the title has nothing to do with the info enclosed therein! whistle

wave Yes,  I was looking for a comment made by Janet that I wanted to respond to on cockerels and I couldn't for the life of me find it.  It took me days to find it under 'Crochet'    aargh    We are all as bad as each other.  wink

I have to write myself lists to remember, then go shopping and forget to take it, then I'm 'lost', I'm walking aimlessly down the isles trying to remember what I wanted!

I've even been known to re-trace my steps in stores in an effort to find my list, where I've put it down whilst looking at something or other....hopeless, I can guarantee though, as soon as I get home I'll remember what I've forgot, what I especially went for in the first place, yet still manage to spend plenty on 'offers' that I can't resist.

I think we must be alike Toffeeapple! Too much on our minds, in my case just plain 'dizzy' I think Scallops, yes, delicious, they are in season so is lobster......if only I could afford to indulge, never mind I can dream and look forward to some scallops, I do love seafood.

What a great 'site' you put the link up for, especially the 'food for a fiver', thanks for that and all the others, I shall pass them on to my Son who lives & works in London, he'll be delighted with the recipes as he loves good food, however, needs to stick to a budget like myself, so you've helped us both & many more no doubt.

What did I want from the shops now!..........Here we go......where's the list???????

We should have a slogan.....'Join the Club' on our posts, yes, we are all as bad as each other.

Have you ever put something away for safe keeping?......The problem is I can never remember where I've put it, talk about tying a knot in my hanky to remember!  I need post it notes every where....

"How do you spell 'Love'?" (Piglet).

"You don't spell it, you feel it" (Pooh).

'A hug,' said Pooh 'is always the right size!'

Josie, you are incorrigible!

Thanks BS, I like the look of that.  I feel that I should be baking bread but the one I buy lasts me a week even though it's only a small loaf and it has all sorts of seeds in it that make it very tasty.

I'll try that again!

BS  This looks similar to where I have got with my Malt Loaf/Bara Brith Hybrid thingy except that I replace 25% of the tea with Drambuie and also add malt extract. This is somewhat a work in progress and I will get back with my final preferred recipe, when / if ever, I get there !!

TA that is fine by me but I would like to also invite the boys round so you could give us some embroidery lessons !!!

Had a funny thing this morning:

2 women called at my door and asked what bread I ate, when I said white they gave me a lecture on the benefits of brown bread  for 30 minutes¦. I think they were The Hovis Witnesses

I think that is still on the 'bread thread' !!
