For Christmas or anytime, recipes here.  Whilst I'm not a great fan of About.com in general, these look like fun things to make, especially if you have children to entertain.

I'll try that again!

Made some wonderful crystalised ginger and pecan biscotti the other day - never made it before, but SOOO easy and SOOO tasty. Going to try another 'flavour' in the next couple of days, got some dried sour cherries, and maybe put almonds with it, these are for xmas pressies for family and friends - anyone got any other good ideas?

We had a go at making fudge last week. We've been wanting to make some for ages but it took us a while to get around to starting because we don't have a sugar thermometer.

This recipe works well.

Made some more biscotti today - as we've eaten all the last lot before I could bag any up, couldn't find the ginger to begin with so choppe dup some dried figs, then found the ginger, so used both with the pecans - lovely again. Will try and package some of it up this time. TA - you're welcome, as a thanks for the help with posting the pics of slugs and lizzards for me.

Biscotti are brilliant to make aren't they? Very good for using up odds and ends of nice things left over! Almonds really make them fab. Chocolate chunks and some coffee flavour are nice too, likewise pistachios- any dried berries are lovely with chopped nuts....next week is biscotti making for present week- and the gingerbread house....I'm particularly thrilled with the little postbox with snow on top I purchased recently to stand outside my gingerbread house....easily pleased, that's me!

I will try to remember to get out the chocolate christmas pudding mini biscuit recipe over the weekend and post it.Promise!

Kateuk makes things at http://www.etsy.com/shop/finkstuff and sometimes she does this too http://www54paintings.blogspot.com/ and also this http://finkstuff.weebly.com/

The glitter is the show stopper, it draws them in on the stall, especially the kiddies, who then beg mum to buy some - naughty, but alls fair in love & table top sales.

wave  All your baking looks wonderful Janet.  I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I'm sure I could be tempted by your cakes.
