Hi one and all,

I'm new to blogging but I found this website a few years ago and have made some very yummy meals and alcoholic christmas beverages using Fiona's recipes, and always enjoy hearing what she's been doing, so thank you.

I have a vague recollection of reading a blog regarding advent calendars, that sounded so delightful I ordered several for our 'children' the youngest is 26! They we're beautiful calendars and I wanted to order done kore this year but, there's always a but isn't there, I've lost the link ;-) can anyone help?

Hello Anne, and welcome to the forum - and to posting on the forum! smile

Advent calendars - what exactly are you looking for - calendars to make, and in what media?

Or if they are to buy, can I tentatively suggest that you look on Google Images and type in 'Advent calenders' and see if you recognise any there.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I'm not too sure what sort of Advent calendar you're looking for. confused

Hi Anne - yes, I remember that Fiona loved those calendars - I think they were German.

Gosh, they are lovely. I can see why Anne was searching for them.

waveAnn, welcome to the forum, I hope you manage to buy some of them in time for advent. smile

I've noticed that they vary a lot - some are very large and round and others are smaller and more oblong in shape. I don't know weather this is to do with if they are wild or cultivated rose bushes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank you Jasmin

What is this post about?  And why is it in a thread that seems to have ended in 2013?  This is not the way to introduce yourself which can properly be done in the 'Introduce Yourself and say Hello' thread.

I'll try that again!

Always puzzles me how these 'newbies' manage to pick out threads that are so old....never mind the fact that their post doesn't seem to relate to it in any way.ponder
