I was wondering if anyone out there can recommend a good book on brewing your own beer. I'm after an ENGLISH book as opposed to all the American ones out there. Not that I have anything against americans, - I don't!! I just want english recipes with english ingredients and english measurements. Anybody?

fraid I can't help you with beer books - the only time I've made my own beer I 'cheated' and used a homebrew kit. There's a beermaking section at http://www.homewinemaking.co.uk/forum/YaBB.pl where someone should have a recommendation.

These days I only make wine and cider style drinks cheers

wave Hello Galicia, welcome aboard.  Thanks for offering to do that but I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile since the original query was made in September last year.  Feel free if you'd like to do it, it might just help someone else.

I'll try that again!
