Can anyone help?  I am making Sloe Gin for the first time.  I mixed the gin, sloes, sugar and almond essence in October.  There has been a green oily film on top of the gin since then.  I strained it yesterday and tasted - seemed fine and I am still here today!  Any ideas what it may be?  DJ
