Interesting read. I'd say a fair few folk here do a lot of that already 😉 I've just been making sandwiches for tommorrow's work lunch using leftover roast duck from Sunday, with leftover hoi sin sauce, thin sliced raw leeks and chives, and a packet of 10p oaty topped rolls from the CFC.

ok

This is a blog I've been following for a while http://shirleygoode.blogspot.com/

Shirley is a thrifty cook and food writer who has written several books (some are available on Amazon, I've got a couple on order) and used to appear on cookery programmes in the early 80s (can't say I remember seeing her, though).  She loves a good chat (don't we all!! laugh) and comes up with some really good ideas for cooking on a budget.  She never throws any food away and will make use of everything.

One of the things I like about her is that she will always respond to comments and questions......she's very knowledgeable about cookery stuff and if she doesn't know something, she will look it up and provide the answer in a day or two.

I know the name but don't think I've seen her on TV.  I can't take on any more blogs at the minute, I've just joined my old Grammar school forum so have been researching for days now and need a rest.

I'll try that again!
