No! Far too soon! Nothing will appear here for weeks yet, never before mid November. I hate seeing it so early when I am still in summer mode!

waveSarah Lonsdale in sunday telegraph lifestyle section :- " Another expert food-saver is Fiona Nevile , who lives as much as she can off the produce of her small cottage garden, but is not adverse to bulk buying reduced food at grocers' closing times or from supermarket 'past sell by ' shelves and giving it a new lease of life at home ."  champagnechampagne Recipes follow but fingers now down to stumps !

Got a large tray of chicken drumsticks from Sainsburys yesterday while out shopping with one of my old dears, 49p, brill, shoved them on the oven last night with a barbecues sort of marinade and sat eating them for breakfast/lunch now.

Good spot, Seth!

SL calls F occasionally for ideas and angles for her column. It is quite flattering. And she always gives F a mention in return.

I had my record CFC "hit" last Sun wk at 15:30 ish. A pack of two fresh cod fillets down from £6.xx to £0.10

Was also tempted to try Quorn pepperami slices for £0.10 and they were surprisingly very good indeed.

Now our moody fridge freezer has gone on the blink again. It does that every year when the temp drops to around freezing. It is 18 yrs old, so allowances are made. I don't think there is anything of any great value in it so no panic. As long as my McMain Homefries survive!

Never knowingly underfed
