too late for me to add them now, I'm yawning away like a ..yawny thing. Might make a typo or something, so I'll do them tomorrow night, I'll set them up as topics somewhere.

In return for my Eucalyptus recipes, does anyone have a surplus of wild garlic that they might be willing to dig up a small clump for me. I bought 1 small bit from a garden centre (I think I hear gasps - BUY wild garlic surely not...) but I'm scared to put it in the garden as I think the chickens will scoff it and I'll be left with nothing.

Janet, keep it in a pot in a shady/dampish place until next spring when it will have exploded from the seed heads and you'll have lots " for a long time.  Mine is pretty weak after the last two winters and I have very few bulbs left " if I manage to save some, however, I'll be happy to send you as much as I can.  Every little bulb of mine has putout  just one leaf " very odd.

I'll try that again!

I don't have any, Janet, but there is a lane near us, leading to the local school where there is a little wood, and the floor is carpeted with them (I think, I hope).

However, as I don't have any, I would be a little afraid in case they are not garlic.

Are we allowed to help ourselves in a woodland like this? Anyone know?

I think that Wild Garlic is fair game, as long as you are not greedy.  I bought mine in North Wales some years ago which had been culled from the lanes.  It certainly is not endangered.  This is what the flowers look like and they should be visible now.

I'll try that again!

Hi rarrier we have a small clump of wild garlic in a concrete pipe in the garden and our chucks completely ignore it ,may have enough to split next year there are about 5 flower heads on this year so it seems to be spreading MOS

sit down with a cupa and the urge will subside

That's a shame Kaye. I was wondering about getting some but that doesn't sound hopeful if yours didn't make it through the winter as we have even colder ones than you do.eeek
