If you do a lot of posting " or even if you don't, other than at Christmas, say " it's worth buying books of stamps now, before the enormous hike in prices on 30 April.  1st class stamps from then on will cost 60p, 2nd class 50p.  However, if you buy them now, in books of 6 or 12, as long as it just says 1st or 2nd class on them (and not the actual price), they are valid indefinitely.  Also, Superdrug have a special offer on, 5% off the price of 12 1st class, so even cheaper.

I've bought a few books of stamps, not that we send much by post nowadays, but every little helps!

You probably all know this already though - in which case, just ignore me big_laugh

wave  That is a really good idea Sue.  I shall do just that (  not at Superdrug though.  That would totally negate buying the stamps, spend it on diesel instead. )

I'm probably being totally blonde, Danuta, but how does buying the stamps at a 5% discount at Superdrug negate the saving? confused

I suspect she means she would spend more on diesel for her car to get to the nearest Superdrug ¦.!!  She will probably buy them from the local post-office.   laugh

Oh of course! doh  Silly me, you'd have to have a Superdrug nearby (or be going shopping or on errands near where there is one) in order to benefit from the 5% discount.

Told you I was being blonde embarassedbig_laugh
