Can't remember where I used to brag about my CFC shelf bargains, seems ages since I've had any worthy of comment, but last night after meeting Julian for tea I went to get a few bits and pieces from morrisons, got there just at the right time as they were doing final mark down on veg- got cauli for 19p, 3 packs of corn on the cob for 19p each ( sweet corn relish I think) and a something else but can't remember what till I look in the fridge.
I got a few bags of their cooked pies and pasties for next to nothing which will keep Dave's pack-up filled for the rest of the week and then 2 big bags of crispy pork rind for 60p which I'm going to have a go at freezing and then re-crisping to take away on my girls weekend next Friday.
Them went to waitrose, which is virtually next door and they had some posh looking ginger cake reduced to 29p a pack ( from £3.99) so bought 4 and have stuck 3 of them in the freezer. Mike has eaten nearly half the other one and he said its gorgeous.

You've done well there, better than us.

We got some mango and some sweet chilli chicken from M&S but they were only about 25% or so off. We then went to Tesco and got some olives for just under half price. Nothing was cheap enough for impulse buying, it was all stuff we'd normally eat anyway.

While we were at the shops, the Macmillan cancer charity were there, raising money and selling cakes. I got an iced bun and a cup of coffee for £1, which was nice.
