But to return to more serious tips and tricks related matters.

This 'show polish' Danny, is it polish you show e.g. at your local village show, or polish you use on something you show e.g. your tomatoes, giant pumpkin etc.

In either case I think a number of us would be most interested in knowing where you obtain it, particularly for the latter use. I for one am always on the lookout for new ways of improving my entries for the local horticultural show and show polish sounds just the thing I'm looking for to make my tomatos look stupendous so they are in with a chance of winning the gold again this year.

Ah Dear Lord.

Please show me the exit route from this ritual humiliation by polytunnel architects, assorted forum layabouts and street crayon daubers. Lord, I promise to proof read my warblings thrice over. Just let this torment come to an end - this week preferably.

Profound thanks in anticipation.

Yours etc.

Danny

Look, you guys, I'm meant to be getting ready to go out for the day, and now I can't stop laughing and have a 'stitch'.

As you say, Danuta - love it, love it!

Now in Joanna's defense, if you watch old movies, Katherine Hepburn snorted when she laughed all the time, and you can't get more refined than her, can you?Cool

If you can't be a shining example, be a terrible warning!

OK, I'll forgive you.

I shopped at Aldi today-

100g garlic sausage 37p (Can you believe that?)

100g Italian ham  99p

100g Black Forest ham  99p

250g Sirloin steak £2.99

125g blueberries 99p

227g Cornish strawberries 99p

5 bananas 73p

The strawberries are delicious unlike the Spanish ones I tasted from Tesco the other day.  I'mm feeling quite virtuous now.

I'll try that again!

I have never shopped for groceries at Aldi, TA, so I have no idea what the quality is like. But the proof of the pudding etc. If your strawberries tasted great then that bodes well for the rest of your haul.

Quite a shoping basket you got there!

I used to shop in Aldi and the quality was pretty good, the problem was often you just got to like something and then you couldn't get it again but their veg was usually pretty goodOk

The only thing that I dislike about their veg is that it is all in plastic bags, except for the lemons.  I looked at lemons yesterday and in every net bag there was one that was not up to standard.  Their bread selection has recently improved quite significantly.  I use their face creams too, (£1.39 each pot) though they were out of stock of them yesterday...

I'll try that again!
