With this thrifty lot that wanders around here I figured we would of had a upcycling section all ready, but it doesn't look like we do. ponder

So I guess we should start one! big_laugh

I have seen articles before about turning pallets into chairs or tables, and making this into that whatever, but I came across a article (with links) for 100 upcycling ideas! Woo hoo!

Anybody have any other good articles/ideas they have come across for upcycling?

If you can't be a shining example, be a terrible warning!

Some wonderful - and weird!eeek - ideas there, Michelle (wave hello and big_hug by the way, how are you?).

Husband's just been given a stack of pallets, he's going to use them to make a pair of gates for our back garden.  What's left over will be turned into another compost bin.

I get through a lot of white vinegar bottles and reuse them as planters for new seedlings, or at least mini greenhouses, and also a mozzie fly trap. I find with a lot of the ideas I would have to start buying tins and bottles to make many of them big_laugh, kind of defeats the object.

Here in Latvia it is very easy to buy new lids for jars and so they get reused every year.

I sometimes reuse the 500ml plastic yoghurt pots as small plant pots. They're ideal for growing herbs in.

will have to have a good look through that link when i have a mo, I love the idea of reuse of things, am always saving stuff thinking I could find another use for it, our barn and stables are full of things that might come in useful (one day).

will try and think of some good ideas to tell you about on here.

I save all the plastic lids from large milk bottles - the very young children in school use them as wheels for their models - in fact most of the small plastic containers are for the same purpose.

Empty cereal packets - last year, I made a template circle with the card, and cut out sufficient for double layers, stuck together, for each child and we made them into medallions, painted gold and decorated with anything they wanted. Great fun.  ok
