That seems like an excellent idea, Joanna.

Also, you are smart enough to turn your mind to design, as well as academia. I bet you could turn out a working prototype in 72 hours, with Ian's input if required. Ok Ok

Jon has just made me a set of panels out of 2x1 and stapled chicken wire to all of them. One has a door in it but the rest are designed to be either a friut cage(cable tied together) or to rest on supports on top of the veg plots. As the whole plot is an experiment this year this means we can move the fruit garden and cage if necessary.l

At the mention of slugs has reminded me of that slug gone I talked about earlier in one of the posts I highly recomend it next year I am going to buy a large sack or three lucky most plants are big enough to cope with the vermin nowDevil  Fiona
