Sunny here but very cold strong wind.  Husband put a big tie-down strap over the polytunnel before he went to work.  We don't want a repeat of the year before last when one of the previous small ones ended up being blown 2 gardens away, and we had to go and retrieve it in a howling gale.  ponder

Homegrown radishes are so lovely aren't they, Tina?  So peppery and crunchy, make shop bought ones taste like nothing.

We, too, had home grown radishes in our salad lunch today.  However, ours were from the polytunnel as were the strawberries we had for dessert - half a dozen each and they were delicious.

Have just planted up 4 wall baskets (they're the only thing that's out of Betty's chewing reach!  big_laugh ), with a mixture of miniature osteospermums, petunias and trailing fushias, all shades of lilac/purple.

Husband is mowing the lawn and cutting the hedge.

Will oversee operations whilst he's putting the finishing touches to the inside of the polytunnel later - he still has half the floor to cover with membrane and bark chips, then the various bits of staging to be put in place.  If I don't stand over him with my metaphorical clipboard and foreman's hat, he tends to muddle along doing bits of all sorts rather than finishing one job at a time  ponder whistle

Been outside practically all Day, until Stomach protested, some Potato Tops showing, got everything ready for the Veg Plants arriving later this Month. Filled four half Barrel small Tubs, not Wood, just Resin, but they look good, two of them planted with Pinks that I grew over Winter. trying to still protect my Dahlias in case of a late Frost, feeling shattered, Shed coming down next Sunday, Summerhouse must be ordered. Think I will ache tomorrow.

I know, I am bossy at times, Toni  big_laugh

Just been out and bought some plug plant trays of leeks, red onions and peas, and a sage plant (with the hugest leaves I've ever seen) to replace my one that died over winter.

And Betty has just dug a huge hole beside my lovely red rose in the middle of the lawn, she's almost uprooted it.  And bit off the largest bud which was close to opening up....she probably thought it was a ball for her, since she's now got it in her mouth and is throwing it around the lawn  ponder  yell

We love her to bits but boy is she hard work sometimes!  At least she can't reach my lovely wall baskets I planted up with purple flowers at the weekend.
