We went to Rosemoor today, and there were lots of snowdrops out (some a foot high, Joanna!) and daphnes and witch hazel. There were a fair number of daffodils, too. It was odd, because some things (like the witch hazel) were way ahead of ours, the hellebores were about the same as mine, and other things like crocuses were behind.

They had their winter sculpture exhibition on, with sculpture in the gardens, but I can't get the link for that to work! There are sheep, and hens, and giant walnuts under the walnut tree, and some snails (Lottie the lettuce lover was one) and all sorts of other things.

Wow, what a great place to spend some time.  It's not your fault that the link to the sculpture is broken.

I'll try that again!

Lovely!  Any chance of a picture Ruth?  I saw Crocuses in full bloom last week in Oxfordshire.

I'll try that again!

More snow and temperatures dipping, I think it will be a long time before I can actually add anything of particular note to this thread, by which time you lot will all be waxing lyrical about all your summer plants big_laugh

I mentioned before that our overwintering peas have started to flower- here is a picture I took yesterday as a record. No pea pods forming though.

I was practicing with my new camera so thought I would take a piccie.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Frogspawn in pond, first noticed on Monday. The only frog I have seen was hiding in a flower bed when I weeded it. I usually see and hear lots in the pond, but maybe this spring they are being discreet. big_laugh  Iris reticulata out, tulip leaves above ground, iris unguicularis still flowering spectacularly.
