Very pretty, sadly I was not quick enough to get a piccie of my camellias and they are now brown tinged due to frost and snow!

Picked up six raspeberry canes on Saturday, ground too frozen to get them in yet. Spring is cancelled.

The sun melts the snow when it is out, does that count as spring? Still got plenty of snow and more on the way thoughwhistle

Same here, as well as a lot of birds mating & chasing each other around….. great to watch.   smile

Weird as I hadn't realized the dawn chorus was missing! It really lifts my mood to hear it.

Unfortunately the re-emergence of spring comes to late to save our Twinkle peas. Finally gave in and dug the remains in to the soil today- lots of nitrogen fixing nodules on the roots, so will do some good. Sifting through the dead plants I did find one that had obviously put out new growth in the last few weeks (most probably before the severe frost) , and two (it was three until I snapped the shoot) sort of green and slightly wilted looking, but not withered and brown. These are now in a big pot snugly in the green house- they may survive who knows?

Meanwhile the dwarf and french beans although frosted, have some good healthy greenery under the fleece- left them alone until we don't have any frosts expected.
