wave  Well done Sue.  I think you are right about the carbs!   Aly you don't have much to lose, so it probably will be very slow.  I need to take a leaf or two out or your books, ladies!

Thank you ladies.....Aly, as Danuta says, you've not got much left to lose at all, so don't lose heart.

And yes, Danuta, no more chips for me! big_laughcry

My intentions are good, but we know what the Road to Hell, is paved with.  Better Weather , will be able to get out in the Garden , be more active.

Just busted my good intentions, I had a fruit scone with jam and butter at lunch time, I was a bit elated about getting told I will have my nose repaired soon, and was passing my favourite coffee/bistro place "Gastrono-Me" and only went in for a coffee, but the scones were calling out to me, they do such delicious light and fluffy scones, bigger than normal, so water for me the rest of the day (alright carrot soup which is nearly water!)

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Oh well, Hannah, the trick is getting straight back on the diet following a bit of naughtiness!

Yes, I had carrot soup, chopped fresh mushroom, tomato and cucumber and an apple to finish. That should compensate.

Lapsed again, after my episode this morning I had two slices of toast with honey on them when I went back to bed-

Me too! More phone calls trying to sort out dad and I hit the biscuits! Still waiting for adult care point ( new brand of social services) to decide if dad qualifies for an assessment! I could scream!

Must be something in the air......following an upsetting text from a friend yesterday afternoon, I didn't feel like eating (had planned on a can of soup for my tea).  Consequently, quite late in the evening I was starving, having not eaten since about noon, and craved comfort food - 3 slices of toast and homemade strawberry jam.  And boy did I suffer for it last night......bloating and stomach upset, plus skin so itchy I could have torn it off (it's a diabetic thing, sugary things make my skin itch).  That'll teach me!

Why do we do it Sue? I am pretty sure I have a bit of gravel in my gall bladder as high fat food causes severe pain. There are days when I will eat too much fat and then am in pain a couple of days. I know what will happen but still do it!

I don't know, Aly......all I know is i'm a very emotional person and any kind of upset makes me comfort eat.  It's so ridiculous, we're grown and sensible adults, we should have the sense and willpower to eat healthily!  Especially when we know full well what is bad for us and will cause us pain.

I am an emotional eater too which is why I have spent my life trying to losing weight. Weird thing is food never makes it better! Hope you resolve the friend issue.
